The MRC National Survey of Health and Development is the oldest and longest running of the British birth cohort studies. It has followed the progress of over 5000 participants since their birth to present day. The depth and breadth of the information collected means we are in a unique position to investigate how early life factors affect how individuals age.
We are responsible for ensuring the information collected from the study members is kept and handled securely and confidentially. It is also our duty to make sure the research carried out is ethical; protecting the rights, safety, dignity and wellbeing of our study members.
All the study members participate voluntarily and have the right to withdraw at any time without giving a reason.
